Winter Lights Festival 2021

A quick but ambitious build for a Winter Lights Fest that no one was sure would happen with COVID barely a year old. This installation consisted of six upstairs office windows with a mix of rear projection and LED art meant to be viewed from safe social distances.
TouchDesigner was used to previz and generate content, as well as distribute video to three separate computers using NDI streaming. Each computer used dual output video cards to serve projectors for each window. Each window was outfitted with a coroplast panel to serve as a projection medium and diffuser. Meanwhile, a custom installation of LED "waves" echoed or contrasted the colors of the video content.
Built in collaboration with Thomas Hudson, Brian Scott, Daniel Smolentsev, Jean-Margaret Thomas, and Marianne Zarkin
